Flex2 :: DocumentX - A document solution for Flex

Hello,

Go here for some detailsĀ

Well I have been talking about this app a lot and just thought since I am really moving on it, I would give you a look.

The project name is sounded out, DocumentTIX. The screen shot below is my documenter documenting itself! I might as well say since I am getting closer to a final and UI ‘treatment’ that this is one of the apps you’ll be up against in the Developers Derby.

I don’t like hiding things that much and since it already works like a charm, well you can start to see it. This little screen shot is just my debuger, I havn’t yet(today) plugged in all the method, property, event, styles etc tables for the debugger.

See this solution is more than just a documenter; it’s a new way to look at managing your code and classes in realtime. There will be the ability to edit comments on the fly adjust things(not to detailed right now;-).

Not mention online subscriptions (note :: if anybody cares about me stealing code from ftp uploads, give me a break! I have somany things already, I don’t need your ideas, plus don’t use it!) for the docs. More to come but, flex2components.com WILL integrate this within itself to link up like minded component developers especaily to smash Ajax. HAHA Just a joke AJAX lovers!

Yes, this also parses MXML files, comments etc. So in the post below about MXML components, this makes them that much more fun to create.

It can parse public packages, internal classes/functions you name it, we got it.

This is really exciting for me because this WAS a php5 application. I had already had most of the algorithms from my Flash8-7 component development days.

This also uses the database to store project settings, books, templates, whatever you heart can desire.

I know Adobe said they might release there documenter but, I doubt it can do this much ;-)

Not to metion the renderer; Well, what dish do you want tonight?

Also, I use HEAVY polymorphism, so if and when I decide to sell it, other server side languages can use it(I am using AMFPHP). All service classes are interface driven.

The analyzer, parser and renderer use the same polymorphic approach. So, heh, you caould parse JavaScript if you wanted. hehe

Well, More later; just wanted to announch a kewl doc solution comming up in the future.

Peace, Mike

    Um…

Well what do you mean like the style exploerer? If you mean edit things realtime, yes. I have not worked out the formalities of how I back up class files so no errors happen but, it will be easy to implement.

I personally like the idea of editing my comments in a Flex UI instead of the class file ;-)

    Peace, Mike
